Lovely story

Matthew McConaughey with Miss Hud

In 2005, Matthew McConaughey mourned the passing of Miss Hud, his beloved Labrador-chow companion of 12 years. As McConaughey attests, man and dog were almost inseparable, from her adoption at a Tucson pound to his climb onto Hollywood’s A-list.

He told Oprah Winfrey on her talk show in 2006 about Miss Hud’s final moments, when cancer threatened additional amputation: “She and I looked at each other and I said, ‘Miss Hud, do you wanna be a one-legged dog?’ And she looks up and she says, ‘Let me move on, Pop.’ So we let her move on.”

On a happier note, McConaughey introduced Oprah’s audience to his new dog, Foxy.
